Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP)
The Government of Canada has partnered with four Atlantic provinces (New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island)
The pilot was launched in March 2017 for a period of 3 years and renewed in 2019 for another 2 years.
The Atlantic Immigration Pilot helps you hire qualified candidates for jobs you haven’t been able to fill locally. These candidates can be overseas or living in Canada temporarily.
There are 3 programs you can use to hire someone:
- Atlantic International Graduate Program
- Atlantic High-skilled Program
- Atlantic Intermediate-skilled Program
Each program has requirements the candidate must meet.
- last at least 1 year
- be a management, professional (usually needing a university degree), technical/skilled (usually needing a college diploma or training as an apprentice) or intermediate (usually needing high school and/or job-specific training) job
- be full-time
- be non-seasonal
- The candidate must also meet certain requirements.
- last at least 1 year

- be full-time
- be non-seasonal

- be permanent
